Acquisition, improvement, updating and installation and commissioning of scientific-technical equipment necessary for the execution of quality research, the improvement of the results and their scientific, economic and social impact, as well as for the proper functioning of the existing research infrastructures.
a) Public research organizations defined in article 47 of Law 14/2011, of June 1, on Science, Technology and Innovation.
b) Public universities and university institutes, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 6/2001, of December 21, on Universities, registered in the Register of Universities, Centers and Degrees, created by Royal Decree 1509/2008, of September 12, which regulates the Registry of Universities, Centers and Degrees.
c) Other public R&D centers: Public bodies and centers with their own legal personality dependent on or linked to the General State Administration, and those dependent on or linked to territorial public administrations and their organizations or mostly invested by the public sector, whatever its legal form. Network entities are excluded from this category.
The beneficiary entities, regardless of their legal nature, must be part of the institutional public sector and be registered in the Inventory of State, Autonomous and Local Public Sector Entities, all in accordance with the provisions of Title II of Law 40 / 2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector. Additionally, the beneficiary entities must comply with the definition of the research body established in section 1.3.ee) of the Commission Communication on the Framework for State Aid for Research and Development and Innovation (2014 / C 198/01).
